Give and receive

Behind this simple website there is a big and powerful vision: A world with joyful groups and individuals everywhere, all bringing more light and balance to their immediate environment.

That is one big vision! and it would be a monumental work for any of us (certainly for me)… yet it is quite doable when we all…

Open to the flow of giving and receiving

The Joy Keepers Network is as much part of those universal energy movements as anything else and here’s how each of us can support them i.e. give and receive at the same time.

Ways to give

  • We are all Joy Lovers but you can also step up as a Joy Leader or a Joy Angel, and contribute by offering your resources, teaching, coaching, events, books… anything that can be of value for Joy Keepers and that contributes to more joy in any area of life/work.
  • Donate any amount and help us maintain our site and reach more people.
  • Share the Joy Keepers Network with as many people as possible. Invite them to join us, participate in our meditations and use our resources!

Ways to receive

We receive as we give – that’s the joy of it too! And there are other ways for you to receive here as well:

  • As our new Joy Leaders and Joy Angels will be adding their diverse resources (many of them free, I’m sure), there will be plenty of new ways for you to get inspired and enriched: books, events, articles, webinars, workshops, and who knows what more…
  • As we grow there will also be more people to connect and share in our forum on Facebook
  • As a Joy Leader or Joy Angel you will also receive the gifts of extra visibility through our website as well as the support of any Joy Ventures that you choose to participate in.

Now that our foundations is ready we can build (almost) anything!
As soon as we have grown some more we can start creating Joy Groups for mutual support! That will be the next big step, along with ongoing improvements and enhancements and perhaps fixing any bugs that I’m not aware of yet. 🙂 Do let me know if you come across any…

I would also love to know if you have any ideas, comments, wishes otherwise… I am here for you, and for our joyful world – the small world and the big world…

With love and joy,

My Unexpected Meeting With A Change-Maker

By Maryann Miller, Founder of the Institute For Global Transformation

You can meet a Change-Maker anywhere. Recently, I was away on business, staying in a nice hotel with a lovely outdoor sitting areas. The room was spacious and the bathroom was very modern with lots of glass, mirrors, and an ultra-modern sink only 3 inches deep. It looked fabulous, very 21st Century but when I turned on the water there was only a very small stream coming from the faucet. I figured the sink was so shallow with more pressure the water would splatter out and get all over everything.

I endured this very low water pressure the first day but the second day it was even weaker and I had difficulty washing my hands.  I called guest services and asked them to have someone come up and fix it. They replied that it would take some time to get a plumber but if I wanted someone in maintenance to come up and take a look at it, they would send someone.  I replied, “Yes, certainly.”

When I opened the door a woman from maintenance greeted me and said, “I’m not a plumber but I’m here to fix the problem. I’m a can-do person and I want to make our guests happy.”

As she worked on the plumbing issue we began talking to one another – a little more than usual for strangers. She obviously was a person who genuinely cared about people despite her very difficult childhood. I learned she had been in many foster homes from a young age. I also learned that we shared many things in common.

As she told me her story, she said, “Everyone has choices. I could choose to be afraid of life and not trust anyone but that wouldn’t make me happy, so I do what I can and I help people. I put myself through college and I try to help people who’ve been through what I’ve been through. And you know, I get more happiness out of that than anything else I do. It just makes me feel good to see people happy.” She also wanted me to know that she wasn’t a weird person even though she didn’t seem to quite fit in with any of her friends.

As we continued to talk, tears began to well up in her eyes, and then in mine too. I felt a real connection with this lady and told her she wasn’t weird or alone. I told her there are millions like us; we just don’t know each other but that’s beginning to change. I told her about the IFGT and that we’re building a community of Change-Makers to connect with others who, like her, care about people, relationships, society as a whole, the environment, and the distribution of wealth throughout the world. We’re doing this because we care about humanity and our planet and we absolutely know that together we can make a real difference toward creating a better world. And although I may never see this Change-Maker again, I know I will never forget her.

If being part of our community of Change-Makers resonates with you, I invite you to join us in changing the world – it’s free. Together, let’s create a new world paradigm of love, wisdom, and purpose.

The Institute For Global Transformation™ is a global network of progressive, innovative thinkers who are working to reach our highest potential and awaken humanity to a higher state of consciousness in order to make the world a better place for everyone.

We call ourselves Change-Makers. We come from all walks of life, all races, education, religions, socioeconomic status, and spiritual development. We’re creating enlightened changes in our personal lives and through these changes, are together, creating a profound new world paradigm of love, wisdom, purpose and inclusiveness. We build bridges instead of walls, are concerned with helping the environment, bringing trust and transparency back to economics, healing social issues and relationships among people, communities and nations.

What unites us is an unleashed knowledge within our inner-most being that our individual and collective awakening can be accelerated by working together with others of like-mind to positively impact humanity and the planet. As humanity moves forward into this time of accelerated change and awakening, we’re experiencing major shifts, not only in the world but in our everyday lives and affairs. One of the Institute’s goals is to empower you to reach your highest potential so you may dip into the universal wellspring of knowledge and wisdom to create a life of joy, mindfulness, success, health, and abundance.  In so doing, you’re also creating a more loving, purposeful, wise, cooperative, and thriving world.
